Amazon boosts VOD library with PBS deal

Amazon will gain access to an additional 1,000 episodes of PBS content -- including documentaries from Ken Burns and series such as "Nova" and "Antiques Roadshow" -- for instant streaming under a new deal. With the addition of the content and a separate agreement to stream 200 episodes of the Julia Child's television program "The French Chef," subscribers to Amazon's Prime Instant Video service will be able to choose from a video-on-demand library of about 12,000 titles by the end of this year.
