"Miss Representation" premiers on OWN

"Miss Representation" makes its official broadcast debut this evening on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, and advocates of gender equality in the media hope it has the intended impact: to change how women are depicted on the big and small screen. The movie's director, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, says her film has the potential to ignite a true movement toward elevating the female status in the media. "I think we can raise this next generation of kids valuing women and seeing all the possibilities they can be," said Siebel Newsom. Watch the film on OWN.
