Researchers look at whether the body regulates activity

Children who got the most hours of exercise during school were less active afterward, a possible reason why fitness programs often do not help people lose weight, according to a study in The International Journal of Obesity. Other researchers disagree with the idea that people have a set point or "activitystat," and they say environment is a big factor in activity levels.
