Want innovation? Forget about all your big ideas

Innovation should start not with ideas, but rather with concrete goals, writes Gijs van Wulfen. Preconceived ideas blind innovators to other options, make it harder to win buy-in from your colleagues, and usually fall by the wayside anyhow. "Never start product or service innovation with an idea," Van Wulfen writes. "It is essential to start with a clear and concrete innovation assignment."
