LaSalle Hotel Properties see room rates, occupancy rise

LaSalle Hotel Properties reported a 6.3% increase in revenue per available room, a 5.8% jump in daily room rates and a 0.5% rise in occupancy in the third quarter. The Bethesda, Md.-based company reported more than $10 million in quarterly income after a series of acquisitions in recent months. But funds from operations dropped from $30.7 million during the third quarter of 2009 to $8.5 million during the same period this year.
