Microsoft exec: Future of Web is in display ads

Marketers' increasing demand for video and interactive banners is leading to a shift away from search and toward display ads, according to Brian McAndrews, Microsoft's head of advertising and publishing. "Since search logically is often the last thing people do, it's arguably getting more credit than it deserves, he said. "It's probably being overvalued now. Our studies show that it is."
