Vaccine institute begins construction of research facility in Florida

The Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute of Florida has initiated the construction of a biomedical research center in Port St. Lucie, Fla., that will accommodate researchers who will conduct studies on AIDS, dengue fever and other infectious diseases. The 100,000-square-foot facility is expected to be completed by 2012.
