The American Diabetes Association has released new nutritional guidelines for diabetes patients that emphasize eating patterns and preferences rather than following any particular diet regime. "Throughout the document, we refer to 'eating plans' or 'eating patterns' rather than 'diet.' We want to work with patients and help them achieve individual health goals. The new guidelines were published in Diabetes Care.
