Among the nation's top 10 markets, Dallas has the largest penetration of smartphone and tablet ownership, according to a survey commissioned by Soasta, a Web and mobile test-management firm. The poll found 76% of Dallas residents own a smartphone, with New York at the bottom with 48%. Among tablet owners, Dallas has a 48% adoption rate with Houston last at 34%. However, New Yorkers actually use their phones more often than those in the top 10 cities, while San Francisco is the home of the most mobile shoppers.
