Toys R Us takes emotional approach with early ad push

Toys R Us is starting this year's holiday ad campaign two weeks early with a TV spot showing kids expecting a field trip and instead getting a chance to mob a Toys R Us store. The holiday campaign includes TV ads, an online video and social media efforts including the hashtag #WishinAccomplished. "We've tried to find a better balance between the rational reasons to come to Toys R Us and the emotional reasons to come," said Peter Reiner, senior vice president of marketing.
