Experimental gastric bypass procedure being tested in U.S.

Gastric bypass surgeons are experimenting with a new technique to reduce the size of a patient's stomach without invasive surgery by using a stapler that is passed down a patient's throat. If approved by the FDA, the staplers could reduce risks, speed recovery and cost less than traditional weight-loss surgery.
