Wireless opposition grows to FCC's AWS-3 proposal

Leading wireless carriers and manufacturers have joined the chorus of industry companies objecting to the FCC's plan to auction AWS-3 spectrum, claiming that it would cause significant interference with AWS-1 networks. In comments filed with the FCC on Monday, AT&T, Nokia, T-Mobile, CTIA-The Wireless Association® and others also argued that the proposal would unfairly allow startup M2Z Networks an artificially low cost of entry for its plan to provide free national mobile WiMAX service.
