FCC issues $10K fine to alleged operators of pirate radio station

Two people in Brooklyn, N.Y., have been ordered by the FCC to pay a $10,000 fine for allegedly operating a pirate radio station. The fine stems from a March 2008 incident in which an FCC agent reportedly found evidence of the unlicensed station while investigating a complaint about signal interference.
