Cicilline vows to fight for LGBT equality in Congress

David Cicilline, the openly gay mayor of Providence, R.I., writes that he'll fight to ban job discrimination against LGBT Americans if he's elected to fill the seat of U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy, D-R.I., who is retiring from Congress. "As the first openly gay mayor of a U.S. state capital, I know all too well how hard each of us has to fight every day for our voices to be heard," Cicilline writes.
