Software creates engaging lessons for students with disabilities

Some educators in Minneapolis are using the software program Vizzle to teach students with autism and developmental and cognitive disabilities. The visual-learning program incorporates sounds and images designed to keep students engaged in lessons and can be customized to meet individual students' needs. Vizzle was piloted by 10 Minneapolis teachers last year and its use now is being expanded to 80 teachers over a three-year period.
