Survey: Younger Americans are worried about retirement savings

About 38% of Americans say they have little or no confidence that they will have enough money to retire, compared with 25% in 2009, according to a Pew Research Center survey. About half of people ages 35 to 44 said they are "not too confident" or "not at all confident" in their ability to finance retirement, compared with 20% in 2009, and those ages 36 to 40 expressed the least confidence overall, according to the survey. "The wealth data showing those approaching or in early middle age had lost the most in the past decade suggests that their concerns are not misplaced," said Richard Morin of the Pew Research Center.
