Army to shutter ROTC programs at 13 universities

The Army is closing Reserve Officer Training Corps programs at 13 universities in an effort to redirect resources to recruiting in major cities. More than half of the 13 universities are in the South, with three in Tennessee alone. The Army will shift its attention to programs in 56 other areas, including Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City.
