Report: India's "explosive growth" in generic drug exports to continue

Exports of generic drugs from India, which have been increasing at the rate of 24% during the past four years, are expected to continue at a strong rate, according to the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India and the India Brand Equity Foundation. Drugs exports for 2012 to 1013 reached $14.7 billion, of which 55% were sold in regulated western markets.
