The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is pushing employers to transfer disabled employees who can't perform their duties to other vacant positions, writes Pamela Reeves, an employment lawyer. "Any employer who terminates an individual with a disability when there is another job in the organization that the individual could perform should realize that such a move is exposing the company to significant liability," Reeves writes.
