Study: Corneal transplants cut care costs

The costs associated with eye transplant procedures are lower than the long-term medical and care-giving costs of living with severe vision impairment or blindness, according to a study by the Eye Bank Association of America and released by The Lewin Group. The study also revealed that donations to eye banks create $6 million in benefits to recipients annually.
