Microsoft readies Ballmer's "big, big deal"

The introduction next month of Microsoft's innovative Kinect add-on for the Xbox 360 systems is, according to this report, one of the software giant's biggest risks in years. The gesture-controlled technology is an attempt to re-energize the video-game market and broaden the appeal of gaming to the entire family. "For me it is a big, big deal," Microsoft chief Steven Ballmer said. "There's nothing like it on the market."
