Actions of Ill. Power Agency chief irks renewable-energy backers

Illinois Power Agency Director Arlene Juracek has decided against moving forward on several projects sponsored by Gov. Pat Quinn's administration that would have promoted renewable-energy production in the state. Among the initiatives that Juracek reversed was a plan to seek offers for long-term contracts for wind power, which Quinn championed as a potential source of jobs and state income.
