Mass. city hopes to break ground on Cape Wind port project in 2012

Cape Wind's difficulty in securing a federal loan guarantee has delayed the construction of a marine port in New Bedford, Mass., officials said. "As the Cape Wind project has taken longer than anyone expected, it's delayed the urgency of getting the terminal ready," said Mayor Scott Lang. "If Cape Wind had gotten the financial guarantees last spring ... we'd be there with cranes and shovels right now finishing things up," said Lang, who now expects to break ground on the terminal project in February or March.
