FDA documents on livestock antibiotics are released

Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility released documents conceding the possible failure of the FDA's voluntary approach to the reduction of antibiotic use in food animals. The FDA's strategy is limited because it doesn't have mandated and defined time frames, and the agency gathers insufficient data on drug use to assess the strategy's efficacy, according to the documents.
