How BSCs, janitors and Google built a community

After contractors in Silicon Valley established training opportunities for janitors in a deal with unions, they turned to organizations such as Google to launch tutoring efforts. The program has opened doors for employees and brought all parties closer, Mike Cassidy writes. The Building Skills Partnership has about 2,000 annual participants.
