7 states are part of program devoted to transforming teacher training

The Council of Chief State School Officers has launched a two-year teacher-training pilot program involving seven states. Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts and Washington state are participating in the Transforming Educator Preparation program, which seeks to make sure teachers are prepared to teach from the first day they enter the classroom.
