Defaults will start rising soon, credit managers say

Corporate defaults are set to increase across North America as credit conditions tighten, according to a survey by the International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers. "There is a view that in North America and in the U.S., defaults will likely increase," Executive Director Som-lok Leung said. "For Europe, while things haven't gotten better, nothing has gotten worse."
