Early federal money is expected to benefit special education

The U.S. Department of Education on Wednesday informed the National Association of Federally Impacted Schools that Impact Aid districts could receive a portion of their anticipated funding early -- a welcome announcement for districts struggling with the sequestration and recent federal government shutdown. The announcement includes an anticipated $25 million for students in special education.
