Hospitals make little progress in overall safety metrics, report says

The fall 2013 update to Leapfrog Group's Hospital Safety Score suggests that since the previous update, in May, hospitals have made no improvement in overall safety metrics, except for their use of computerized physician order-entry systems. Of the 2,539 hospitals graded in the report, 32% earned an A, compared to the 31% rating recorded in May.
