Scripps executive says networks are just grasping the business function of apps

Applications for repurposing TV content haven't been financially successful so far, but one executive thinks a turning point is on the horizon. "Apps are a nice container for content, but we've yet to see the business side of that, and I think in the next year we're going to see that," says Scripps Networks' Channing Dawson, speaking at the Media Tech Summit 2013. Dawson says the company must adjust its thinking for the app world from an audience to a customer focus.
