Sheriff in Wash. state endorses Murray in Seattle mayoral race

John Urquhart, the sheriff of Washington state's King County, endorsed state Sen. Ed Murray for Seattle mayor in a statement released Tuesday by the Murray campaign. Urquhart praised Murray's crime and public safety agenda. "We need an effective mayor who will act to address the very real public safety challenges Seattle faces, and I believe Ed Murray will be that mayor," Urquhart said in the statement.
