Counseling for mothers can prevent obesity in children, a study finds

Children whose mothers underwent in-home dietary counseling within the first year after giving birth had a higher chance of developing healthy eating habits by age 3 to 4, U.S. and Brazilian researchers reported. Children who ate the worst diets were at a greater risk of being overweight compared with those who consumed the healthiest foods, the study revealed.
