EPA: Sherwin-Williams agrees to $570K hazardous-waste penalty

Paint manufacturer Sherwin-Williams has agreed to a $570,000 civil penalty related to hazardous-waste violations alleged to have occurred at a Baltimore facility, the Environmental Protection Agency said. The company was cited under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act after a 2009 inspection and a follow-up investigation, the EPA said.
