Biotech labeling is debated at agribusiness meeting

A panel of biotech labeling supporters got a cold reception from the crowd during an agribusiness summit in Minneapolis. Monsanto's director of sustainability Stephanie Regagnon, who was in the audience, said she has seen biotechnology help African women feed their families and provide education and health care. SunOpta Grain and Foods' Kate Leavitt said consumers' desire to know about foods that include biotech ingredients was "a groundswell that cannot be denied."
