Calif. county to truck fresh produce into "food desert" areas

Merced County in California is hiring the nonprofit group Make Someone Happy to deliver and sell fresh produce, dairy and eggs to people living in "food desert" neighborhoods. The produce will come from local farmers whenever possible, and the county's goal is to reduce obesity and chronic illness related to bad eating habits.
