Small businesses and the community as a whole in Waterloo, Ontario, have felt the effects of BlackBerry's struggles in recent years. Layoffs at the smartphone maker have taken a toll at a local pub called Molly Bloom's, where BlackBerry employees once poured in during lunchtime and after work. "We used to pull out 20 extra chairs and squeeze 'em in for busy lunchtimes," said Brian Watson, the pub's owner. "But we haven't touched them at all this year."
