ICU improves care with intensivist-led model, physician says

Implementing a team approach to ICU care using an intensivist program has led to better quality care at Florida Hospital Flagler, Dr. Miren Shinco said during a "State of the Hospital" address. Shinco, a surgeon and intensivist, said study data show quality is higher when intensivists lead teams in providing and coordinating care.
