Japan says export slump won't hamper economic recovery

Japan's Cabinet Office said the economy "is on the way to recovery at a moderate pace" despite rapidly deteriorating demand for exports, particularly among Asian trading partners. The government said the recent export revival is over and export sales are almost flat. "Slowing down of overseas economies is still a downside risk for the Japanese economy," the Cabinet office said in its monthly economic report.
