Lexington, Mass., lures life sciences firms

Lexington, Mass., has attracted some biotech firms looking for more space from the life sciences hub of Cambridge, Mass. From being unwelcoming of growth in the 1980s, Lexington is now pro development with a major focus on life sciences, town Economic Development Director Melisa Tintocalis said. The Lexington biotech cluster is now home to at least 25 pharmaceutical firms including Shire and Cubist Pharmaceuticals.
