Microsoft bests estimates thanks to enterprise growth

Microsoft reported a better-than-expected quarter with revenues reaching $18.5 billion, up from $16 billion in the same quarter a year before, beating analyst expectations of $17.8 billion. The company credited enterprise sales growth but also noted a 47% increase in search ad revenue. Microsoft plans to launch "a wide range of compelling products and experiences this fall for both business and consumers," CEO Steve Ballmer said.
