N.Y. woman indicted on charges of defrauding Medicaid, welfare

Staten Island, N.Y., resident Inna Kulik pleaded not guilty to charges of grand larceny, welfare fraud and offering a false instrument for filing after investigators say she falsely applied for assistance programs. Kulik allegedly did not report income or assets from her two New York homes and her New Jersey business when seeking Medicaid benefits and other assistance from July 2006 to July 2010, authorities said.
