Twitter sets cautious price range for IPO

Twitter has set the share-price range for its initial public offering at $17 to $20, which could raise as much as $1.6 billion and peg the value of the company at about $11 billion. For weeks, Twitter sent out signals suggesting that it would price the offering conservatively to avoid following in the footsteps of Facebook, which saw its share price fall immediately after going public. Some analysts had expected a valuation as high as $15 billion.
