Doctors use lasers to erase signs of aging

The environment, not aging, causes skin to look unhealthy, with ultraviolet radiation from sun exposure the primary contributor, said dermatologist Dr. Paul Friedman. Dermatologists are increasingly using lasers and light-based technology to reduce the signs of aging. Doctors can use lasers to diminish the appearance of acne scars, rosacea, dark spots and spider or varicose veins, as well as to remove tattoos.
