Phone calls to figure in Google Ad Ranks

Advertisers will soon be able to take advantage of a bid-per-call option for Google search ads on computers and tablets in "a giant step forward for AdWords," said Surojit Chatterjee, senior product manager for Google. The bid and the resulting call volume then will help determine the position of the ads, Chatterjee said.
