Students with special needs find creative outlet in art

Students with special needs in one Arizona district are benefiting from a focus on art instruction at school, their teachers say. The students work on individualized projects that provide them with a creative outlet for their thoughts and emotions, and sometimes work alongside students who do not have disabilities to create an atmosphere that educators say has benefits for both groups.
