Tech titans form united front on cybersecurity

A group of technology companies, including heavy hitters Intel and Advanced Micro Devices, has formed a nonprofit consortium aimed at advancing cybersecurity research and cultivating more cooperation among government, academia and industry. The Cyber Security Research Alliance -- which was founded by five firms but could expand to include as many as 25 -- expects to begin producing its first prototypes within the next 18 months.
