Dominion exec emphasizes need for a national used-fuel repository

The U.S. needs to develop a federal repository for the storage of used nuclear fuel from the country's reactors, said Skip Jordan, Dominion Resources' site vice president for the Millstone nuclear plant in Connecticut. Jordan said it is better to store the used fuel in one large repository than to keep the material onsite in several locations. "The real solution is a national repository," he said.
