Telemedicine program connects Maine patients to Boston docs

Starting next year, a new program from Maine-based Patient Advocates will enable patients in the state to get consulting and treatment remotely from physicians in Boston. The system -- which will be extended first to patients whose employers are self-insured and later to those with insurance-company plans -- will use a high-definition remote video link to connect clients with doctors primarily at Boston's Tufts Medical Center.
