Federal agency releases updated grid standards

The National Institute of Standards and Technology has released Version 2.0 of its Framework and Roadmap for Smart Grid Interoperability, a set of standards for boosting security and interoperability of the electrical grid that was originally released in 2010. The updated guidelines include 22 new standards with a special focus on the smart grid.
