UP's train exercise aims to boost crossing safety education in Utah

Union Pacific conducted a train exercise aimed to heighten drivers' awareness about rail in Orem and Pleasant Grove, Utah. The class offered advice about the risks, both physical and legal, of rail trespassing. "By far our biggest danger is road crossings," said John Hearing, a Union Pacific manager of operating practice. "I think the greatest danger is not stopping for signs."
